Who should win American Idol? David Cook or David Archuleta? Why?

I’m an avid fan of American Idol! I’m leaning more towards David Cook winning the finale, just becasue he’s so much older and experienced and he to me has a greater chance of selling out a stadium such as MSG with his rock ballads where as David Archuleta really only has his “love songs” to work off of. Would love to know what you guys think!!!
We cannot predict on who will win now considering the performance night hasn’t arrive yet, but i really cannot choose, i mean both of them are talented and special in their own way, not to mention Humble (try watching in youtube both of them their exclusive interview top 2). But I would want D.A to win all the way considering his pure vocals but if DC would win, I would be happy too… I honestly love this season since most of them are talented especially to the both Davids. They will both go very far and can make successful albums in the near future… all I can say is best of luck to both davids and may the best man win…
I think David Cook is better than Archuleta. He’s more talented and he has more variety in his songs whereas Archuleta can only sing ballad songs, his “With You” performance was not good at all.
but maybe archuleta should win so that david cook will not be tied down to AI contracts, i THINK he can be more successful if he doesn’t win but david cook still deserves to win.
DAVID COOK..Hands down.
here is why : 1. he is a true performer. He has made many of the songs original..eg.’little sparrow’..’hello’…
2. he is ready to make another album and since he is certain ..unlike archuleta…that music is going to be his lifelong career.. he would benefit most from the boost that winning american idol wud give him.
3. there is no doubt that david cook will sell more albums n tickets to concerts than archuleta.
4. David cook is so exciting to watch up on stage! he works it.. unlike archuleta who fumbles around with his free right hand ..in every performance.. i dunno what he could do to change that…the little one an amazing voice..i just wish he had more stage presence. he bores me. but his voice is awesome!
5. personality?.. i think archuleta is a really sweet person..the word would be ‘innocent’.. his ‘oh my gosh’-aww shucks-puppy dog eyes could make ur knees go weak if ur between 10-perhaps 16.. both davids are all heart.. DC and his AC’s everywhere,flowers on his guitar to acknowledge fans..
6. everyone says that ‘Cook is just another rocker’… well archuleta is just another balladeer..erm.. i think we have enough of those..bore-me-to-tears-singers… again.. its a personal preference! like simon says “just an opinion!”
and we heard cook belt out a ballad ..’music of the night’ proved that he is all that and a bag of chips..

DAVID COOK!!! he’s a much better musician and is way more talented. I’m sure David Archuleta will win though because a million little girls are gonna vote for him just due to his adorability…..

I hope David Archuleta wins because he has a amazing voice and he is something new. It will be cool to see what kind of album he would come out with. But even though I don’t want David Cook to win I think he will because of his rocker style and I think he has more fans and David Archuleta appeals more to the younger group. But we will just have to see.

1. I love him like a brother and i would never let him down.
2. He’s insipired me since the begining of the show and still does.
3. Who even wants to hear Archuleta on the radio.
4. Archuleta is a dork and doesnt deserve it as much as David Cook.
5. David Cook is a man and Archuleta is a boy and still younge.
6. Archuleta looks like a monkey.
If we want David Cook to win we have to vote like theirs no tommrow. We have to vote until the lines close, even if its busy we have to keep voting!

David Cook for the WIN.
Based on everything since the Top 24, Cook has deserved the title since at least the Top 8.
I know music is subjective and hordes of Archuleta fans would vehemently argue the basic premise of this point, but still…David Cook is better.
He’s a better singer. He’s a better performer. He’s more likable. He’s more flexible. He can play an instrument. He chooses better songs. He connects with the audience.
Yes, Archuleta does ALL of that too, but that’s the point: There’s nothing Archuleta can do that Cook can’t do better.
I liked Brooke White a hell of a lot more than Archuleta, but I can admit that Archie is a better all-around singer.
Likewise, I can’t blame anyone for liking Archuleta better than Cook, despite his *cough* overwhelming inferiority *cough.*
But, in the end, the American Idol crown should go to the best performer with the all around ‘Whole Package.’

All along I thought David Cook…after tonight definitely David Archuleta. That first song was “WOW,” the second one the same…it came from the heart. When I found out he was singing Imagine I thought “Again…” but then after he sang it is was like Whoa. David A won based on tonight’s performances. David Cook will still go far (don’t forget that David A has the VFTW vote also!!!)
