Who do you think should have won American Idol? david cook or david archuleta?

I really thought that Michael Johns was a sure thing to win, was very disapointed that he was voted out when he was.
well both of them are equally successful, so I don’t think it matters.

I was a fan of David Archuleta’s from the minute I heard him sing, but I think David Cook deserved to win because he was the better performer and he had a great voice also! But they’re both going to have successful careers =)

Definitely David Cook. Archuleta has the talent, but not the personality. He’s too goofy/nerdy to be an American Idol. David Cook is unique and different than any other person who’s won Idol. They’re both very talented, but Cook DEFINITELY deserved to win. Apparently the American people thought so, because he won by 12 million votes. Archuleta forgot the lyrics on his first performance in the top 12. David Cook delivered throughout the whole competition.
David Archuleta…and I’m betting he’ll end up being the bigger star.
How long ago was this? And who cares, don’t they both have record deals anyway? Seriously, it would not have made a difference in your life or anyone aside from the winner and his family regardless of who one.
definitely Archie i think American idol screwed up the votes to make cook win coz on jay Leno Simon said he wants cook to win and Archie would always get a louder applause and had more screaming girls.
I love Archie but I still wanted Cook to win.
I was rooting and voting for Archuleta but there was no way Archie was going to win with the special 4 hours of voting on a school night (very unlikely his school-age could vote 4 hours till 1AM).
I am fine with Cook winning. But I lost all respect for Simon and the show when Simon went on two national TV shows (Leno and Ellen) right before the Top 2 competition and said he thought Cook should win.
If it had still been “a singing contest” as the judges pointed out in previous years, then Archuleta should have won.

I WAS rooting for Archie though,
And I was hoping that he would win..
But to me, it doesn’t matter anymore,
Because David Archuleta has his own CD,
And I got to buy his music!

I got Cook’s CD for Christmas,
And it’s great too.
It doesn’t matter anymore, I liked them both, but sure I would have said archie at the time, since I liked him more. But now, I like them equally and it doesn’t matter, they will both succeed, and archie has an amazing career that will last forever.
