How should’ve won for American Idol David Cook, David Archaleuta (dont pick both)?

oh, just be happy for david cook..im a fan of archie but we can’t change the decision, i’ll just buy the albums of david a..and i’ll support him no matter what happen =]

Tough question since I like both of them for different reasons. I think Cook deserved it in the end since he reinvented songs and made them his own. Plus he has more experience and can hold his own in interviews. Archuletta needs to be more polished.
I thought Archuleta was going to win.
But I’m really happy Cook won, I like him since his first audition.

David Archuleta should have won idol! I heard that the producers lied and archuleta only lost by 136,000 votes. They wanted cook to win so they cheated probably. We should like go on strike and make a petition.
archuleta! he crushed it on finale night! but still, what’s done is done. producers want dc to win anyways. but da took it with such grace. if u r a da fan,check out all his interviews, he was so polite and truely congratulated dc and meant well. the way he answered all the diff quetsions abt his career,school,feelings etc etc. he answered with such maturity and grace
David Cook was the right guy to win. He appeals to a wider audience and has better stage presence. Archie will do well, though, too.
I wanted David A to win. However I think David C. is also very talented. They could have tied and I wouldn’t have been surprised! They are both so different in their musical style that it’s hard to compare them. This was the first year that I think Simon was stumped as to who the winner should be! They are both winners in my opinion. Hope things go extremely well for both of them.
I also think anyone of the contestants in the top 7 could have won.
I really really wanted Archuleta to win..But somehow I’m happy for cook. However just imagine Archuleta a 20 years and above!! OMG.
Anyway, DA took it gracefully.
Were the judges really praising Archuleta so votes would come in for Cook?
Also did the producers lie about the difference in votes?

Nice. Real intelligent question. I am an Archuleta fan but I am truly happy that David Cook won. He seems to be a great guy with a warm heart. Yes, he is a little more arrogant than I care for but I still think he was very deserving of the title.
You know who won? WE ALL DID. Because we get to look forward to all of the great music that ALL of the contestants are going to be releasing.
So let me ask you, who really won? WE DID.
Does it really matter that David A didn’t win? Will he sell fewer albums? Do you have a brain? NO
I wanted David Archuleta to win sooo badly! However the producers wanted David Cook because he was more “managable”. So the producers possibley cheated. Defenitely, every one who watched American Idol that night of the finale Archie crushed Cook. Even Simon thought it was a knock out. Archuleta shouldve won. End of story.

I love Cook because he’s cool, has a personality and he can sing.
Archaleuta can sing, no doubt about that, but he’s BORING!!!
When I turn on the radio I’d much rather hear Cook than Archaleuta. Plus he can never keep his eyes open when he sings. He has no stage presence at all.
Here’s where I was undecided.
Recently, the American Idol winners weren’t very successful.
I mean come on, what happened to Taylors Hicks???
But look at Chris Daughtry; look at how successful he and his band is. It seems like the people that didn’t win usually get picked up by some record label and are more successful than the winners…
For that reason I didn’t want David Cook to win because I wanted him to be successful. But then I thought that he wouldn’t be like Taylor Hicks because he can actually sing. So then I wanted him to win. David Archaleuta will probably get picked up Disney Channel and be an addition to the Jonas Brothers or something like that…
David Cook. Archuleta could have won but he’s only a boy and needs a little more training. If David A. goes again he could have won cause his voice is OK…he did have a little trouble but i think David C. was awesome.
