nope because of what his father did and I think that ruined it for him and plus he already put a album out when he won star search a few yrs ago.
yea. i also liked the final performance of archie. i almost cried. but we must face the truth that cook has won the title of being the AI champ. i love them both. they’ll be great singers. they’ll do great songs. sell many albums. so we should be happy for the results. i was sad when i didn’t heard archie’s name called to be the winner. but..that’s just soo sad. cause i was expecting him to win. but well.. =[ he didn’t..

Archuleta was by far the best singer but cook was a way better performer and his type of music could easily be put on the radio. I did think arculeta was going to win he has more singing skills but was a bore to watch..
I watched one episode the entire season, and only for a minute or two. That little bit was one of cook’s preformances and I was like “man can sing…he’s gonna win it”. I later saw the replay of that night and archuletta was decent, but not nearly as good as cook. I stopped watching the show when fantasia won, becasue it wasn’t about singing, it was all a big popularity contest then. It’s about time the person with the best voice won again.

Archie should have been #1, but he is still #1 in the hearts of his fans. He has incredible potential for being 17yrs old. His voice is absolutely amazing! He will go far, you wait and see!!
Yes. Well, to me at least, because the way he sings is what gets my attention… I’m not really the rocker type, so Cook’s way of singing never really appealed to me. Besides, when you hear Archie, you just MELT and sometimes even cry… but with Cook, there really isn’t emotion, just lots of energy and… shouting. Haha. That’s not really my type of music, but then they’re both totally different from each other so I don’t think they’re comparable. It would’ve been better if both of them just won. Hahaha. But only one had to, so there. I think Cook won out of sympathy, since the Judges were hard on him the night before, so I guess lots of people voted for him instead. Just thinking. But maybe not.

I thought they were both amazing but i did vote for DC and i totally think he deserved it…doesn’t matter how you do on the final it depends on the whole season and i thought they both did amazing…now i am like addicted to D.Cook!!!
I think that David Archuleta was a very talented 17 year old that had a way of swooning the listeners, but at the same time every performance that he did was pretty predictable. Ballad after ballad got pretty old. David Cook deserved to win in my opinion because not only did he rock the house every time he got on the stage, but he always had such stage presence. Every song that he sang he made it his own. I mean, come on how easy is it for a guy to sing Mariah Carey and even she said that he could make a hit with the way he sang always be my baby, and that is an amazing compliment if you ask me. I feel that both David’s deserved to be in the top two positions. I was always a Cook fan though. I would still buy both of their albums.

and what does it matter what his father did? if his father did it, that’s nothin to hold against him. and that’s what i don’t get about some people
and Archie was way more consistant over the course of the season than David Cook was
and think about it, cook is older, and Archie still kicks his ace in singing
i listen to rock, metal and classic rock, but i still don’t like david cook, I don’t think he’s that good

I think Archuleta should have won it all. They both worked hard and were very deserving of winning it.. But it was obvious Archuleta wanted it so much more. Cook didn’t even WANNA try out! Archuleta wanted to be the next American Idol since season 1! It’s just sad his dream didn’t come true but he’s happy with runner up, so I am too. They are both very talented, but Archuleta’s emotion he put in to that finale night was so tremendous I was tearing up. He put his all into it and i’m proud to be a fan! I’ll buy his CDs too =]
well that is tough but david(archie)is so cute but his voice sound the same all the time david cook is hot and a good voice it is hard so let you decide!!
